GATHERING A TUNIC DRESS

A tunic dress delivers well on comfort but doesn’t score so highly on creating a flattering look. I’m a firm believer that curves are there to be shown and not hidden so I’m going to show how you can create a more fitted look on a straight-cut dress.
To achieve this, I’m going to gather the back section of the dress along the waistline. The simple action of drawing in excess fabric will create a much more fitted look around the torso. This is also a great trick if you are working hard to lose weight and you want to get a little more wear out of your clothes, before launching your new slimmer style.
